Hitachi Rail secures one of the largest rail contracts in UK history for its next-generation trains.
Hitachi Rail Ltd. announced it has won a £2.8 billion contract to supply 60 next-generation intercity trains to the UK's rail network, operating for over 30 years. The deal will support 2,500 jobs at Hitachi's County Durham manufacturing facility.
